Our love of cheese became our livelihood when in March 2018 we opened Forest Deli in the centre of Coleford in the stunning Forest of Dean. A lack of quality cheese locally and our passion for tasty local food and drink led us to take the plunge and we haven’t stopped since, building on our desire to offer the widest range of local produce and something a little bit different for our community.

This gorgeous rural area around us is abundant with local food and drink producers, we are so lucky to have so many wonderful small craft business on our doorstep

Local Suppliers

We always prioritise local suppliers wherever possible, selecting the very best products and sourcing anything new to the area. We stock a wide range of Forest of Dean and Wye Valley fabulous produce and will always prioritise local suppliers. Not just cheese, but honey, preserves, beers, ciders, wines and even local gins. We have our own locally roasted coffee blends too. We’ve supported many start up businesses in the area, often being their first retail outlet and our variety and championing of local producers is something we’re well known for.

Our Mission

Keep it real - We believe in fair pricing, which means we believe that you should only have to pay for what you choose. So all of our hamper pricing is based on the constituent parts, not added filling to make it an even number! We keep our cheese prices fair and balanced. We cut our cheeses to order, making sure you get just the right amount.

Make it local - Our hampers are packed with the best local goodies and we'll deliver them straight to your door. We have a great variety of local cheeses sourced from within a 15 mile radius.

Fill it with Flavour - All our food uses locally sourced products where possible or they are grown from our own kitchen garden and our food is made to order

Eco Credentials
From using recyclable packaging; all of our gifts are eco-friendly as standard. We use reusable hamper containers filled with wood wool, a bio-degradable void fill made from shredded timber. The ice packs, cardboard and postage materials we use are all re-usable or recyclable to choosing suppliers who prioritise ethical farming, we're committed to bringing you delicious cheese with a conscience.
Local Delivery
We offer a FREE local food & gift delivery service within 3 miles of Coleford (GL16 8AQ) using our own Electric van. For GL14, GL15 & GL17 postcodes a surcharge of £5 will apply
Minimum £15 spend

Forest Deli Products
Did you know we have our very own kitchen garden where we grow our own fruit and vegetables for Forest Deli.
This provides tastier fresher food and less food miles so a win win. So, as well as using what we can in our home-made food which we bake daily, we also have a range of our very own jams and chutneys. How cool is that!
