As you can see, the shop is currently empty of cheese, beer and pretty much everything esle, we are going to have a busy and fun few weeks building the inside to get ready for opening in the early Spring.
The Deli is situated just off the main square in Coleford Town Centre on Market Place, with a couple of parking spaces outside, so easy to get to when you’re in the town shopping.
Once we are open we look forward to welcoming you to come in for a look around and a chat.
In the window is me, Simon, and the picture taken by my wife, Debbie.
We live just outside Coleford and love The Forest, walking and cycling around the trails and tracks is a great way to really understand and see The Forest and nature as it changes through the year.
From the short dark days of winter, the snowdrops and daffodils are appearing in gardens, verges and all over The Forest, the trees are sprouting leaves and the Spring sunlight climbing over the trees in the early morning is simply beautiful. We aim to be as environmentally friendly as possible, and our target is to not have any food waste at all, as nature needs as much help as we can give it to keep providing the ingredients for all our products.
Cheese and Beers have been around for almost all of human history, and the key ingredients for both haven’t ever changed. What has changed and grown is the specialist and regional produce with new and interesting ideas and flavours to tempt you to try and enjoy. Beers using different hop varieties can look identical but taste entirely different, cheeses can be wildly different depending on their age or the time of the year they are made, so there is always something new to try.
If you have some favourites, or want to try something new – please just come in and ask.
See you soon.
